Congratulations again to all of our individual patrol award winners from last season at Snow Summit and Bear Mountain. Congratulations to our NSP winners, especially those who went all the way to National representing us – Dave Nelson, Barbara Razo, Rene Perez, Ciana McKnoulty and of course, Josh Endsley!! I have to apologize to you and to one of our distinguished NSP Far West Division award winners who was mistakenly overlooked in our presentation. I feel terrible that he was not recognized on Saturday night. Give a virtual round of applause to Karl Chulski – NSP Meritorious Service Award, recognized by our Division Director for all his efforts leading our MTR Program as the Division Program Advisor. Sorry to miss you on Saturday night, Karl.
Thank you to all who worked so hard to bring the OTH Refresher, Awards Banquet and OEC Refresher to our new consolidated patrol this weekend- your efforts are warmly appreciated! You know who you are. Lastly, if you missed our refresher weekend, please make sure we receive your BBSP dues and paperwork before Friday as we will be closing our roster over the weekend. You don't want to miss this season. For instructors who missed the detail from BBSP breakout session, I've attached a copy for your review.
For any questions we might have left unanswered for you, check the website under Patrol News for a larger Q&A on scheduling, requirements, season/dependent passes and all things patrol – this will be posted by end of today. We will continue to add to those items as questions come up. I ask that you always check here with your questions first – respecting the fact that there are over 200 of you sending me emails each day. For that I say thank you in advance.
REMINDERS:
- Shiftboard opens on 10/31 for all members of BBSP and closes 11/15 for the initial scheduling this season – Bump A and Bump B simply separate patrollers into two groups for assignment
- A complete schedule with locations attached to your scheduled dates will be posted 11/30 for the full season
- For your scheduling purposes, Region training events have been added to the calendar on our website – Senior, Certified, MTR, Avalanche, etc.
- Our roster will close this Friday, 10/28 – all dues and paperwork MUST be paid by our members by that time – pay online and scan docs back to me or Barbara Razo.
